What's the Value of Reading a Book?

I love books, I'm certain you're well aware by now. And I love the truth too. And I try to embody it as much as possible. And here's some truth for you. Books don't make you rich. Books don't make you fit. Books don't make you successful.

So why then, do I keep reading them? And why do I encourage everyone else to read?

What exactly is the value of books?

The answer is quite simple. Books give you ideas. Books expand your thinking capacity. Books give you different perspectives from which to think about business and life. Books give you encouragement and faith that you can succeed and accomplish what you set out to accomplish.

If books can do so much, why do I still say they don't make you successful?

Because it's not the books that do these things for you.

It's your application of what you learn in the books.

So read... apply... succeed.

Without action there can be no success!
