I've just come back from walking around my neighborhood, trying to drum up business from our food establishments.
After facing one rejection after another, I came to an epiphany. I waited too long to start my business. I shouldn't have waited until I was completely unemployed. I should have started part time, on weekends, that way I would still have an income to funnel into my business until it reached a steady state.
Now I'm desperate and floundering. On one hand I'm desperately trying to sell eggs, which is a very low margin business.
And I'm also submitting CVs because I think I'll be in a better frame of mind if I have a little income to take care of my living expenses.
I may have written this in another rant, but it's still true.
Start early. Start part-time. Start now...
