Are you chasing security or wealth. Poor people chase security, that's why they don't break through the barrier of wealth. They're afraid of risks, that's why they prefer a steady(guaranteed) salary instead of the risk of entrepreneurship. They lack confidence in their ability to perform, that's why they prefer to get paid based on time, instead of getting paid based on results.

"Rich people believe in themselves.  They believe in their value and their ability to deliver it. Poor people don't. That's why they need guarantees." Remember this, people don't pay for your time. They pay for a result. That's why  they have performance reviews at work. If you fail to deliver the result, if you fail to perform, you will be fired. Same applies in business. If you fail to deliver the result you promised a customer, they'll buy from someone else. Start thinking in terms of value, instead of time. Learn to exchange value for money instead of time for money.

And this is against the rules of making money.

Rule 1 says, never have a ceiling on your income.

"If you want to truly get rich, then you need to start your own business, work on commission, get a percentage of revenue or company profits, or get stock options. Whatever your vehicle, make certain you create a situation that allows you to get paid on your results. " And remember, whatever vehicle you choose, it will only work if you do.  Becoming rich takes training, dedication, time and energy to succeed.
