Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. Part 2: The Wealth Files

He suggests that your entire life is basically governed by your mind. Your conditioning leads to your thinking habits. Your thoughts lead to your feelings, and your feelings lead to your actions, which then lead to your results.

Harv likens our minds to a filing cabinet. He says, "All information that comes in is labelled and filed in folders so that it's easy to retrieve to help you survive."

The only challenge is that you can only retrieve the information or files that are already contained within your mind. So, if all your money files are not supporting your financial goals, you're in trouble. You need to install new files that support your goals.

The first step to any change is awareness. Recognize how you've been thinking about money, and make a declaration to change your thinking and start thinking the way rich people think and act about money.

With new files come new choices. The goal is to catch yourself when you think and act in unsupportive ways and recondition yourself to start thinking differently. You can choose to think in ways that will support you in your happiness and success instead of ways that don't.

Remember, people who fight for their limitations get to keep them. If you're defensive and don't think there's anything wrong with the way you think, then it's fine. You don't have to change. If you're happy with your results, then it's all good. You don't have to change.
