Money is the basis for everything in today's world.
They tell you health is the ultimate wealth,
but how do you get health without money?
You need money to pay for the doctor.
You need money to pay for healthy food,
hell, you also need money to pay for junk food.
You need money to join the gym, to buy running shoes, etc.
Everything requires money in today's world.
They tell you relationships are the ultimate wealth,
but how do you create great relationships without money?
What exactly do you affirm?
"My lovely, beautiful wife, I can't afford to feed you.
I can't afford to support our children,
or to provide for your basic necessities?"
Can you really feed a family on poetic words alone?
You can't sit and stare at your partner all day
on an empty stomach, in a leaking shack.
You need to do better than that.
Somebody has to get up and put some food on the table.
Acts of Service?
You need energy to perform these tasks.
You need food to fuel your energy. And you need money to buy food. You need to eat before you work, otherwise you'll faint and hurt yourself. Apart from your own energy, where will you get the tools
to perform these acts? You need money to buy these tools...
You need money to pay for the training.
Receiving Gifts?
Even the simplest gift costs money.
You can't be giving your wife paper planes all the time.
You need excitement, and variety, and mystery to keep the spark alive.
Physical Touch?
Terrible idea... because that leads to lots of babies.
How do you support a big family without money?
If you can't afford to make a life for two people,
how can you afford to make a life for six people?
As Russell Conwell puts it,
"Love is the grandest thing on God's earth,
but fortunate is the lover who has plenty of money."
Wallace wattles confirms this by saying,
"The fact remains that it is not possible to live
a really complete or successful life unless one is rich."
This series of posts is based on teachings
from the Richest Man In Babylon,
and it will teach you...
What do you do when you've been working hard
and playing by the rules all your life, and yet success
still eludes you?
Every day you wake up and toil,
yet you still have nothing to show for it?
At what point do you make the decision that you've had enough?
At what point do you decide to change your life for the better?
At what point do you decide to start creating multiple streams
of recurring income?
As Kobbi puts it,
"A man's wealth is not in the purse he carries.
A fat purse quickly empties if there be no golden stream to refill it."
Maybe it's time to try a new approach - right now.
Maybe it's time to learn something new so you can take new actions, which will lead to new results. Maybe it's time to dream a new dream.
Maybe it's time to create a new, specific, compelling
and detailed vision of your future, in which you specify
exactly what you want your life to look like.
Where do you live? With whom? What business are you in?
What do you do for leisure? How many vacations a year?
How many income streams? How about your health and physical wellbeing? Where do your kids go school? What is your net worth?
How do you feel emotionally from day to day?
What do you do during your typical day? What do you drive?
Who are your friends, business partners, mentors, customers?
These are all the things you need to specify.
Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich,
says you need a definite aim in life.
Without a definite desire, you will drift aimlessly through life -
you will achieve nothing - you will be nothing!
And these questions help you articulate your chief aim in life.
Once you've articulated your chief aim, then prepare to
"work for these things with all the strength in your back,
all the skill in your hands, and all the cunning in your mind."
The reason most of us don't have the wealth we want
is because we have never sought it... we have never defined it...
we have never articulated specifically the things we want to accomplish... and we have never considered what it would require
of us to achieve these results.
In life you get what you focus on, what you pay attention to,
what you invest your time and money pursuing.
It costs nothing to ask wise advice from a good friend.
Actually, if you don't have wealthy friends, I think it's better
to spend a few bucks and consult a financial planner.
You want to ask for advice from somebody who has obtained
the result you seek, somebody who's life demonstrates
that they know what they're talking about.
Who can coach you and guide you to the promised land?
1. What results do you want to achieve?
2. Who has achieved these results?
3. How can I get access to them? (Sign up for their email list, follow their social media accounts, buy their books or courses, attend their events or webinars, pay for 1 on 1 or group coaching)
