The Four 4 Agreements: Who’s Dream Are You Living Anyway?

Is it a dream you decided to pursue of your own accord

or is it something you’re doing to impress other people?

You have the ability and the obligation to choose

that which you want to believe. And for the best chance of success,

the author advises you to focus on that which you want to achieve,

not that which someone else has told you to pursue.

Be the kind of person, and do the kinds of things

that you believe are good for you. 

Do the things that bring joy to your life, not what society

or your friends or family impose upon you.

Use reward and punishment to your advantage. 

Reward yourself when you take actions

that move you closer to your goals. 

Associate pain with actions that take you away from your goals.

Acknowledge your efforts and appreciate yourself. 

Be kind to yourself.  Take care of yourself as best you can.

You only have one life to live, make the most of it.

Live beyond your comfort zone. Mistakes will happen, that’s life. 

Don’t punish yourself indefinitely for the same mistake. 

Learn the lesson and move forward. 

Accept the risk of moving beyond your comfort zone. 

Some people will feel alienated, and that's okay.

You may also feel some discomfort, call it growth pains.

Your will power will be tested, that's how you develop character. 

You will stumble from time to time and appear to be falling,

so what? No journey is without it's own obstacles.

It’s the time to hold steady to your vision and push past the plateau.  Happiness is not to be found in giving up and settling for mediocrity... happiness is found in pushing past failures and claiming victory on your own terms. 

If you have beliefs and habits that are working against you,

now is the time to change them.
