The Four (4) Agreements: Be Impeccable With Your Word

Your word can create the most beautiful dream

or it can destroy everything around you.

Your word doesn't only refer to the words coming out

of your mouth, but also the thoughts you think.

It’s also the ideas and opinions you have about yourself,

other people, and the world at large.

You articulate your dreams, goals, ambitions and joy using your word.  You also articulate your fears, judgments and sorrows using your word.  This is why Jim Rohn advocates for expanding your vocabulary.  It will allow you to find the best words to describe the situation and motivate yourself to take the actions required.

The more your tilt your word towards joy, happiness,

success, health, the better you will experience life.

The opposite is also true, when you focus on negativity,

and fearfulness, your life will reflect this fearfulness.

I’m not ignorant enough to believe that you will never experience setbacks and hardships in life, but I believe you can choose to focus

on positivity and on creating the habits that support your goals,

rather than focusing on the negative habits.

Habits Determine Outcomes

Your habit of thought determines your habit of action,

which in turn determines your outcomes in life.

Mistakes are inevitable, yes.

But don’t use your word as a dagger to stab yourself

over and over for the same mistake.

Use your word to sow seeds of positivity.

Use your word to think of solutions to the problems you’re facing.

Use your word to visualize your dreams of a better future.

Use your word to paint the picture of your ideal life.

I’m Not Saying Be In Denial

About Your Frustrations

I’m saying take responsibility and move forward towards

the vision of your better future, without judging or blaming

yourself for past mistakes. Decide today to be a friend to yourself.

Speak positivity into your life.

Build habits that reinforce and move you towards your goals.

Don’t use your words as a sword to stab yourself in the back.

Use your word to sow seeds of positive momentum.

Use your word to talk yourself into going for that morning run,

into investing in that business, into mending your relationships.

Use your words and thoughts to contemplate the benefits

of going to gym at least three times a week.

Use your mind to paint a picture of your ideal

body, life, business, relationship.

Use your word to plan the action steps

that will get you to your desired goals.

Use your word to sow seeds of feeling good, feeling happy,

feeling at peace with yourself and the world.

Tell yourself how wonderful you are, how great you look,

and how much you love yourself.
