The purpose of this book is to help you think differently about success and manifestation. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne was a great introduction, but it was incomplete. There’s a lot of other well-meaning, manifestation and law of attraction advice online, most of which is misleading, whether intentionally or not. This book will lay it out for us in simple and practical terms.

there is nothing you cannot be, do, or have

It starts off by reassuring you that there is nothing you cannot be, do, or have, the only thing you have to do is to gently and gradually release your resistant thoughts. By consciously choosing the direction of your thoughts, you can connect the source energy that creates all that is. And when you understand the power of feeling good now, no matter what, you will hold the key to achieving anything you ever desire, whether that be health, wealth or happiness.

The authors say that the only reason you haven’t yet attained the things you desire is because you are holding yourself in a vibrational pattern that doesn’t match the vibration of the things you desire. You do not have to use your words to attract success or anything, you just have to feel it in your being. You feel desire for it. You feel adoration for it. You feel appreciation for it. To the degree that you feel blessed and expect good things to flow to you, this indicates the level of your allowing. And to the degree that you do not feel blessed and do not expect good things to flow to you, this indicates the degree of your resistance.

Desire is the beginning of attraction

You attract through your attention, through your wanting, through your desire (whether you want it to happen or not to happen, so long as you are thinking about it, you are attracting it). When you are consciously aware of your thoughts, and you are deliberately offering them, then you are the deliberate creator of your reality.

The trick is to become someone who is happy with that which you are, and that which you have, while at the same time being eager for more. By paying attention to the way you feel, you can easily know if you’re attracting the circumstances you desire or attracting the opposite. Your emotions provide the guidance you need to tell you whether you’re moving closer or away from your desires.

The key to experiencing something you desire is to achieve vibrational harmony with it. Your attention must be on it, not the lack of it.

How do you achieve vibrational

harmony with what you desire?

You imagine having it. Pretend that it is already in your experience. Begin enjoying the experience in your mind – in your imagination. As you practice these thoughts consistently and begin to consistently offer that vibration, you will then be in a place of allowing it into your experience. If you predominantly think about things you desire – and feel good while doing so – they will be attracted to you.

You attract the essence of what you consistently think about. If there’s something you desire that you currently don’t have, you only need to put your attention on it and it will be attracted to you. Your most powerful beliefs will always be played out in your experience.

The longer you think a thought, and the more frequently you return to it, the stronger it becomes, and you will attract it faster. When you have been wanting something for a long time, your attraction power is much greater than if you’re thinking about it for the first time today.

You don’t force yourself to feel something

I always hear the so-called self-help gurus tell you to visualize with feeling, make affirmations with feeling, feel the joy you will feel when you get the results you want. And I’ve always failed miserably. Come to find out that they’re wrong. You don’t force yourself to feel something. You think a thought – or imagine a circumstance. And the thought evokes a feeling. The feeling indicates whether the thought you’re thinking is in alignment with your desires or not. And this tells you whether to continue along the same pattern of thought or to change direction.

Emotions are the indicator of your alignment – they indicate the frequency at which you’re vibrating. The better you feel, the more you are allowing your connection to source energy. The worse you feel, the less you are allowing your connection. Feeling equals attracting desirable circumstances. Feeling bad equals attracting miserable circumstances. Only when you deliberately choose the direction of your thoughts can you deliberately affect your own point of attraction. Your emotions always let you know if you are allowing or resisting your desires. When you are fully focused on your desire, you feel wonderful. When you focus on the absence of your desire, you feel awful.

Abraham Hicks shares their three step formula for attracting everything you want into your existence:

1)      Your work           : You ask;

2)      Not your work    : The answer is given;

3)      Your work           : The answer which has been given must be received or allowed (you have to let it in).

The question is how do I let it in?

The book suggests that once you combine your knowledge of the law of attraction with your in the moment awareness of what your vibration is offering, then you will have full control of your powerful point of attraction. Your thoughts equal your point of attraction; the way you feel indicates your level of allowing or resisting. As long as you are aware of what you do not want regarding your particular situation, what you do want cannot come to you. When your thoughts are a vibrational match to your circumstances, you feel good.

You allow by paying attention to the way you feel, and by directing your thoughts to better feeling thoughts. The more you feel better, the more alignment you experience. Negative emotion is an indicator that you’re introducing resistance and are subsequently moving away from your alignment. It’s about reaching for a feeling – a better feeling thought.

It’s about expectation:

Once you expect something, it will come. The details of it may play out differently - but the vibrational essence will always be an exact match. When you really want something, and you are thinking about your desire and you’re feeling pleasure from the thought, your vibration is now inn alignment with your desire. When emotions feel good – whether they are strong or weak – you are allowing the fulfilment of your desire.  When emotions feel bad – you are in a state of disallowing the fulfilment of your desire.

Your job is to direct your thoughts.

Pay attention to the way you feel, and deliberately choose thoughts – about everything – that feel good to you when you think about them. When your emotions notify you that your thoughts are taking you in a direction you don’t want to go, the onus is on you to do something about that information. Distract yourself from something unwanted and put your attention on something wanted.

Replenish your connection by choosing better-feeling thoughts.

The only reason you could ever experience something other than what you desire is because you are giving the majority of your attention to something other than what you desire. You always get what you think about – whether you want it or not. You cannot exclude anything that you are thinking about, because your attention to it includes it your vibration every time, without exception.

Variety causes contemplation.

Variety causes contemplation. Contemplation produces preference. Preference is asking. Asking is always answered. Your job is to feel, with each thought that you think, whether you are moving closer to, or further from, your desired outcome. Only when you pay attention to the way you feel can you guide yourself steadily towards your goals.

What’s the catch?

The law of attraction will not allow you to find a vibrational frequency that is far from the frequency you usually sustain. Choosing different thoughts requires focus and practice. You want to move to a good feeling vibration. To get there, you will have to choose thoughts that feel good. Always be reaching for the best feeling thought you have access to in the moment. Any improvement in the way you feel means that you are making progress towards your goals. Negative emotion means that you are going in the wrong direction. So what do you do? Think different thoughhts – thaoughts that feel good.

The Standard of Success is absolutely

the amount of joy you feel.

The main event is not the manifestation. The main event is the amount of joy you feel in the moment. Why? Because the end result of everything you want is that you think you will be happy when you become, do it or have it. The trick is that manifestation follows feeling – not the other way around. You have to expect it and feel good about it when you think about it, then only will it be attracted to you.

Appreciation is the closest vibrational match to source energy. Appreciate yourself. Appreciate others. Appreciate the thing you want. The better you feel, the more you are allowing alignment with the things you desire.

Use your imagination until your big dreams feel so familiar that the manifestation is the next logical step. Deliberate creation is about deliberately guiding your thoughts in good feeling directions.

Everything that comes to you is in response to the thoughts you are thinking. What you are focused upon and what is happening in your experience are always a vibrational match. Deliberately modify your thoughts in order to attract something that is even more pleasing. Choose a thought that feels good when you choose it and watch the conditions of your life change for the better.
